Corner Brook, NL

Honing self-taught skills through window painting for 33 years, Jackie Alcock, a self-proclaimed dabbler who lives in the gray area between fine art and fine craft, received a Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2008.
Soon after, her affair with rug hooking began and she has hooked more than 135 mats, beginning with a codfish, under the tutelage of Beverley Neville, for her project ‘The Newfoundland Buffet Table’.
As a Newfoundland and Labrador Artist, Jackie has and continues to have many accomplishments:

Between 2014 and 2018 Jackie committed her heart and soul to complete her “Forget-Me-Not Project” of which 6 pieces are hooked rugs.
Rug Hooking Magazine published the piece in the Nov/Dec 2018 issue
